July 4 Patriotic Nail Art - Happy Fourth of July!

July 3, 2021

Happy Fourth of July! I adore all holidays and celebrations as it's a great reminder to take a break from our daily schedule, be thankful, and spend time with family.  For the first time since last Christmas, both my sister and I are visiting home and celebrating July 4th with our parents. That means we're having a Texas style brunch-bbq-dinner extravaganza where we cook delicious food, snack on sweet treats, and light some fireworks (all from the comfort of our backyard, under the Texas sun).

And because the whole day can't be spent eating (although, let's be truthful, it can!), my sister and I decided to do our nails in commemoration of July 4th.  This July 4th nail art is simple, patriotic, and wonderfully suited for the day. Using red, white, and blue, I've create over-sized hearts accented with flowing stripes.  Polishes we used are Color Club Bell Bottom Babe, Sinful Colors Snow Me White, and Sally Hansen Rapid Red.  If you want to minimize time spent on doing nails (and more on relaxing), patriotic nail art can be as simple as combining various red, white, and blue shades.

We hope all of our lovely followers have a great day and hope you enjoy the 4th of July!

Walgreens Beauty Summer Essentials - Nude Tips and Coral Lips

Summer beauty is a play land of color. You can opt for neon colors, add touches of sparkle, and experiment with different shades of taupe (the sunny sky's the limit!).

My summer routine is a study in nude and bright - I love natural looking products that enhance the skin's glow but I also love picking fushcia and coral accents.  For the makeup look below, I kept my eye makeup a neutral brown and applied the Revlon ColorStay Moisture Stain.  The whole Revlon ColorStay collection is a summer must-have - the glossy, pigmented shades deliver hydration and a statement shade (top it all off with the Revlon Lip Gloss and you'll have the prettiest smile at the pool party). And because neon can only be appreciated in small doses, I adore incorporating natural shades in my summer nail routine such as Essie Topless and Barefoot and Essie Van D'Go.

For skincare, I tend to use light products and follow the "less is more" mantra. I prep and protect the skin with an effective sun care moisturizer such as the Hawaiian Tropic Sheer Touch Ultra Radiance Lotion (SPF 30) or the Neutrogena Oil Free Moisture (SPF 35). By adding the Maybelline Baby Skin primer, I ensure that my whole foundation says where it's supposed to stay (because no one likes to experience the dreaded melt face).

If you're still in the process of curating your perfect summer makeup bag or are simply looking to restock on you favorites, Walgreens is the one stop shop for all of your summer beauty essentials. And as an added summer bonus, Walgreens is offering a gift with purchase offer which runs between 6/29 and 8/30 - through this offer, consumers are able to receive a coupon code via texting or visiting the Beauty Deals to receive a free travel-size makeup brush set with any $20 beauty and personal care purchase.  So if you need more incentive to start your makeup and nail polish summer kit, be sure to head to Walgreens for the latest releases.

In the meantime, get ready to celebrate summer with nude tips and neon lips!
