NEW Maybelline Master Glaze Blush "Just Pinched Pink" - Master Glaze Review and Swatches

January 31, 2021

I enjoy taking an hour to do a full face of makeup as much as the next beauty obsessed girl, but sometimes that's just not in the cards.  Friday is my gym day because it gets me ready for the weekend physically and mentally - who doesn't want to punch the air in kickboxing and get some frustrations out after a long week.  Because I often have plans after the gym to get dinner, spend time with friends, or attend art openings, carrying my entire makeup collection around New York City just won't do.

Maybelline has recently introduced many new products in their permanent makeup line, and the Maybelline Master Glaze Blush has caught my eye because of the sleek, easy to carry packaging. I'm usually not a huge fan of cream blushes because I think cream blushes can be fussy to apply and can feel uncomfortable on my cheeks (read sticky, ew).  However, after trying and loving the Maybelline Fit Me Stick Foundation,  I decided it was time to try the Maybelline Master Glaze Blush in Just Pinched Pink.  The price tag on the Maybelline Face Studio Master Glaze blushes is rather high at $8.99 for 0.24 oz, but as you'll read below, I forgive this negative as the blush itself is high quality.

Maybelline Just Pinched Pink is a light, peachy, rose-pink with very subtle, micro shimmer - Just Pinched Pink applies as cream but transforms into a powder finish (hence, the longevity).  This Master Glaze blush is a hybrid between subtle highlighter and a blush - the shimmer is light enough to be barely noticeable but strong enough to define the tops of the cheekbones.  And because I'm quite serious about my gym-day, this blush applies easily and no brushes are needed - I simply swipe an angled line of the blush on each cheek, think pretty pink war paint, and blend in with my fingers.  Just Pinched Pink stick blush is unbelievably blendable, and pigmentation can be easily built up by dotting the stick where you want to add more color. This Maybelline blush also looked great even after eight hours of wear, something that a powder product usually fails to do on my skin.

All in all, can you tell I love this blush?  I highly recommend you try it (you'll find that you'll be pleasantly surprised!).  Let me know in the comments if you've tried this glaze blush yet, and if you recommend any other products in the Maybelline Master collection.

Stay Pretty, Mackenzie M.

  1. Really love this shade, it absolutely beautiful! I would totally top it off with a rose gold blush! All the shades I've seen form them have been hot pinks, pale pinks and corals, not shades I'd be comfortable trying in a cream form just yet. But this one looks amazing on you, and your lashes are amazing!

    1. Thank you for your sweet comment! They sheer out pretty nicely, and they do have one nude shade but I think that has the most shimmer in it than the others - but if you do try them let me know how you like them! xo

  2. I'm gonna cave in and get at least one. I was afraid because I've had bad experiences with cream blushes from the drugstore in the past x

    1. I hope so too - It would be a shame if they didn't :( I'm still so surprised that new release makeup doesn't make its way to Europe as easily as it should! xo

  7. It looks like a great product! I am terrible at applying blush so the blush stick might be a better option for me. I really do hope we get these in Europe!

  11. I love this blush , as a matter of fact I am currently wearing it. I wear it two different ways for two different looks. When I want more of a saturated cheek, I rub the stick directly on and blend. When I'm looking for more of an all over glow, I apply with a kabuki in several places and blend. One of my new faves! www.sweetanddownlow.com

    1. Ohh I hope they get there soon, I think they're supposed to be in the permanent collection (at least here in the US). Beauty companies just need to release everything at the same time haha we're always longing for some products we can't have hehe
