The theme for the third week of the Busy Girl Nails Challenge is Dots, and I wanted to create a look that was soft, summery and flattered short nails, so I am hoping that these Frosted Gumdrop nails do just that. I applied dots in colorful pastels over a natural base color, and finished it off with a white ombre and glitter. This is a very soft and girly look, and it also elongates your nails due to the french tip effect.
I am including a step by step tutorial below on how to achieve this dot nail art. All you need are your polishes, some nail polish remover, a dotting tool (or hair pin) and a cosmetic sponge. |I really enjoyed this polka dot manicure for summer: it is subtle and has an elongating effect|
|I liked the idea of having the bare nail be part of the design, as it is chic and more demure at the same time|
|Little army of polishes I used! I fell in love with Sinful Colors’ Pinky Glitter, a beautiful glitter in a fluorescent pink jelly base|
