OMGNailStrips Review - Nail Foil Strips Review, Nail Foil Art

Rose Gold nail art design - Valentine’s Day nail art

With Valentine’s Day coming up, we are in full swing of trying nail art and pretty designs.  And may I add, doing nails is one of the most relaxing activities - from deciding on color coordination to applying polish to figuring out stickers, I forget about anything bothering me and I take some time for myself. So, just as a disclaimer, if you’re stressed, take some time to do your nails.

For this nail design, I focused on the rose gold combination and wanted a bit of opulence and change of pace from the usual opaque basic color.  I used a Forever 21 cheapie glitter polish (anything would work really) and paired it with the OMGNailStrips - surprisingly, the whole process didn’t take too long and I ended up with a complex and beautiful manicure.

OMGNailStrips packaging is small and simple

Miranda’s Notes:
My sister, Mackenzie, also reviewed the OMGNailStrips and provided a very helpful step by step tutorial on applying these nail foils.  As I was doing my own designs, I was following her advice so be sure to check out the post on how to apply nail foil strips or nail polish strips. Plus, she made a cute plaid nail art so that’s another reason to read on (yes, I linked the post three times because my sis is awesome).

Pros: The OMGNailStrips are affordable with free domestic and international shipping and provide a wide range of options of polish strips and polish foils. I was drawn to this red and gold design because I knew I could not create it by free-hand and because I loved the shiny material of the strips.  Plus, the design goes perfectly with rose gold accent nails and I can’t turn down a rose gold polish.  Overall, I am happy with the quality and clarity of the print, the amount of strips, the designs, and product longevity.

Cons: The biggest issue I had with the strips was the lack of adhesive.  I had difficulty having the nail polish strip stick to my nail despite first prepping and cleaning my nail.  I wish the product would actually glue easier - because of this, the nail strip ended up wrinkled and moving across the nail bed.  I tried setting the nail strip with a top coat which helped set it on my nail bed but because of air bubbles underneath, the nail foil strip again wrinkled.  The process of applying was a bit tricky and took some pulls and pushes to align the strip correctly.

I love how honest you always are about the products you’re describing - thanks for that! Your nails really look great especially considering the bubble problem you describe.
